According to a criminal complaint, police responded to a burglary report March 23 at Public Storage, where officers found a glass door window smashed out and the key to a safe missing. Police went to a Lake Elmo residence where Canfield and Melissa Ruth Raatz, 42, were arrested.

Police searched Canfield's truck and found the safe key as well as evidence from a burglary at 2001 Nails, the complaint states.
