Lottery pays off for Woodbury woman and more
A lottery scratch-off game turned into a handsome windfall last week for a Woodbury woman.
Jenny Smith won $21,000 by playing the Minnesota State Lottery's Triple Cash Crossword scratch game. She claimed the prize Jan. 22 after buying the winning ticket at Billy & Marty's in Minneapolis.
Smith wasn't the only Washington County resident to see good fortune in state lottery games. Oakdale residents Danae and Jeffrey Klimek were among a group of people who cashed in on a $25,000 winner by playing the lottery's Minnesota Millionaire Raffle game. They will split the prize with three others. The winning ticket, claimed on Jan. 16, was purchased at the Kwik Trip on Hadley Avenue in Oakdale.
Meanwhile, a Woodbury gas station sold a lottery winner earlier this month to an Inver Grove Heights woman.
Kimberly Giddings claimed her $25,000 Northstar Cash winnings on Jan. 15 after buying her ticket at Yocum's Holiday at 2030 Eagle Creek Lane in Woodbury.
