Long named as the new managing editor of Bulletin
The Woodbury Bulletin named Hank Long its managing editor last week.
Long joined the Bulletin in August 2006 as a staff writer, where for the last three years he has covered issues involving the Woodbury City Council, public safety and more recently the Washington County Board of Commissioners.
From 2004 to 2006 he worked as a staff writer at the Hastings Star Gazette, where he won Minnesota Newspaper Association awards for news reporting and human interest feature writing. The Hastings Star Gazette and the Woodbury Bulletin belong to the Rivertown Newspaper Group, a subdivision of Forum Communications.
A 2004 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Long majored in Journalism and History. During college he worked as a reporter for the school's independent newspaper, the Minnesota Daily, and as a reporter intern for the Pioneer Press. He has also served as a freelance writer for the Star Tribune and newspapers across the country covering sports events and teams in the Twin Cities.
Long currently lives in Cannon Falls and is married to his wife Susie, who works as a pharmacist.
