Lock-down lifted at Lake Elmo school; potentially armed man still at large

A Lake Elmo school was put on lock-down this morning while Washington County authorities searched for a potentially armed man suspected in an attempted theft incident.

The lock-down was later lifted at Oak-Land Junior High, according to a 9:29 a.m. email from district officials stating the area around the school had been searched and was cleared.

Washington County sheriff's deputies and Woodbury police continued to search for a man suspected in an attempted snowmobile theft.
