Letter: Stop whining about transportation bill

I think it's safe to assume that those complaining about the transportation bill and pending increase in the gas tax were not on the I-35W bridge when it collapsed, nor did they have loved ones involved in the tragedy. How quickly we forget.

My daughter's family in central Wisconsin would love to pay the gas prices we have here in the metro -- even with the new increase.

Europeans for years have paid much higher prices for their gasoline than we do (they also have stringent fuel efficiency standards).

Stop your selfish whining.
