At the (Feb. 23) Town Hall Meeting in Woodbury, I noticed that almost all of the people asking that programs not be cut, or who favored raising taxes, were people who either received benefits or were being paid through government programs.

It was also interesting when Tom Dippel asked how many people on the panel had read any books on economics other than when they were in school, only two members raised their hands. Huh?

I would never hire someone to represent me in a legal problem who had not studied law, yet I am expected to trust people who can't be bothered to read even one published work on economics to make intelligent decisions regarding how my hard-earned money is to be spent.
