Middleton Elementary kindergarteners learned that they always have a friend in Woodbury’s firefights.
Three Woodbury firefighters visited Cathy Patnode’s kindergarten class on Oct. 10.
During the visit, the firefighters discussed a number of fire safety tips including: cooking safety, candle safety, fire alarms, family meeting spots, who to call in case of an emergency and “stop, drop and roll.”
One of the firefighters also demonstrated everything that firefighters wear during a fire in order to help students not be scared.
Additionally, students headed outside for a tour of the fire truck.
