Kent to talk bullying bill in 'Twitter Town Hall'
Woodbury Minnesota 8420 City Centre Drive 55125

A Woodbury lawmaker is taking to Twitter to talk bullying.

Sen. Susan Kent, DFL-Woodbury, will be holding a "Twitter Town Hall" event at 2 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the Safe and Supportive Schools Act.

Kent will be tweeting under @SusanKentMN. Participants can interact by using the hashtag #SafeSchoolsMN.

The issue of anti-bullying legislation has come under fire in recent weeks by Woodbury residents who participated in a Capitol news conference.

“I look forward to using Twitter as a means to communicate with Minnesotans interested in discussing the Safe and Supportive Schools Act,” Kent said in a news release. “I encourage everyone to join me on Wednesday using the #SafeSchoolsMN hashtag to discuss one of the biggest issues of this legislative session.”
