Internet safety presentation at Christ Episcopal Church
Christ Episcopal Church in Woodbury will host Jacob Wetterling Resource Center youth safety specialist Allison Feigh as she presents "Internet Safety Skills for Parents and Teens" Sunday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church, 7305 Afton Road. The free event is open to all parents and youth ages 12 -18.
Information will include basics for your teen or pre-teen to help protect their digital footprints, and information for adults to help them begin a dialogue with their teens about Internet and cell phone safety.
Feigh has been with the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center since 2001 delivering youth and teen-centered safety messages to the public, assisting families with missing and exploited children issues, and providing key information to media and law enforcement.
She has done extensive media interviews as a "subject matter" expert on the topic of child and teen safety including interviews with CNN, FOX News and local news stations.
The event is co-sponsored by Christ Episcopal Church and the state office of Justice and Juvenile Delinquency Prevention.
Questions about the event may be directed to Dana Fath Strande at the church, (651) 735-8790.
