The hidden job market
The Career Transition Connection (CTC) group of Woodbury Lutheran Church will meet Thursday, April 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. as featured speaker Kay Roseland presents "Finding the Hidden Job Market - An Adventure in Layoff Land." The event is free and open to everyone.
Roseland was a "dislocated worker" counselor for four years. She completed her MBA in Marketing in May of 2008.
Having been laid off four times in her career, Roseland has much to share about what she learned from those experiences.
As an oft-featured speaker at the CTC and other job support groups around the Twin Cities, Roseland's interactive style gets everyone in the group involved.
The group meets at the church, 7380 Afton Road in Woodbury, on the second and fourth Thursday of each month throughout the year.
The forum provides time for networking, sharing success stories and a general exchange of information. The goal of the group is "to reach out for support to those people in career transition or thinking of transitioning, in a Christian support environment."
