Good news, bad news for Valley Creek Road travelers
The good news? The traffic lights at Radio Drive and Valley Creek Road will be operational by Thursday. The bad news? Construction along Valley Creek Road will expand greatly at the same time.
According to a city news release, construction will be extended west from City Centre Drive to Bielenberg Drive beginning before morning rush hour. Meanwhile, construction will also extend east from Radio Drive to Colby Lake Drive.
The city's release goes on to state:
Traffic on Valley Creek Road will continue to be routed to one side of the road while concrete work takes places on the alternate side. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction on the westbound side of the road.
The traffic lights at the intersection of Valley Creek Road and Radio Drive will be operational. The traffic lights at the intersections of Valley Creek Road and Bielenberg Drive, Tower Drive, Central Park Place/Donegal Drive, Interlachen Parkway, and Colby Lake Drive are expected to operate as four-way stops.
The entrance to the City Hall parking lot will remain open during construction; however, access is limited to a right-turn in and out of the parking lot.
