A glimpse into prohibition
Woodbury Community Theatre brought the roaring 1920s to life last week. WCT’s newest musical, “Glimpses of the Moon” opened Friday at the Black Box Theatre. The musical comedy, set during prohibition, will continue this weekend. Visit www.woodburycommunitytheatre.org for more information or to purchase tickets.
The musical is set during 1922 Manhattan society, is about Susy Branch and Nick Lansing who devise a clever scheme to live beyond their means. Susy and Nick decide to marry and live off the wedding gifts while they help one another secure more suitable millionaire spouses. The plan works perfectly – until they fall in love.
