Girls golf: Raptors, Royals finish third, fourth at North Oaks
The East Ridge and Woodbury girls golf teams finished in third and fourth place respectively at a Suburban East Conference match at North Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday, May 3.
East Ridge shot a 192 nine-hole total and Woodbury carded a 199 score. Stillwater won the match with a scorching 175 to top second-place Cretin-Derham Hall (186).
Woodbury senior Mary Sweeney led the Royals, shooting 3-over-par, scoring a 41 and placing third overall in the conference match on the par-38 course. Also scoring for Woodbury was Katie Moore (47), Kari Johnson (56) and Natalya Thakur (55).
Stillwater's Cassie Deeg and Cretin-Derham Hall's Celia Kuenster tied for the top finish with matching 40s.
Individual results for East Ridge were not made available.
The two District 833 teams competed in a SEC match at the White Bear Yacht Club on Monday, May 9, after the Bulletin went to press.
Next, the East Ridge and Woodbury girls will compete in a conference match at River Oaks Golf Course on Thursday, May 12, in Cottage Grove.
