Fall kicks off with artistic festivities in Afton
There was music, there was carnival food. There was the popular kettle corn.
And then there was the art.
This year's Art in the Park in Afton brought a crowd of hundreds who came to enjoy what the two-day event had to offer.
The weather cooperated and fall kicked off in Afton with an art fair that's near and dear to vendors' and visitors' hearts.
Sara Kelzenberg and her 11-year-old daughter Katie, of Afton, were one of the many who attended Art in the Park to enjoy crafts and hang out with friends.
"We like to come and get ideas, meet up with friends," Sara Kelzenberg said.
The art fair included vendors who sold various items - from jewelry and crafts to wall art and accessories.
Val and Barry Sutherland make jewelry as a hobby but make it a point to participate in Afton's Art in the Park every year.
"It's a wonderful show and we enjoy this venue," Val Sutherland said.
"They did a wonderful job of advertising it this year. It's really good for the vendors," added Barry Sutherland.
