The Raptors stayed hot last week - earning two more victories that kept their unbeaten streak alive.

East Ridge defeated Maple Lake on Saturday, improving the Raptors' record to 9-0 on the season. The win came two days after the Raptors topped Suburban East Conference opponent Cretin-Derham Hall 137.175 to 117.2.

The Raptors scored 140.25 in the Maple Lake meet; Maple Lake scores were not available.

Senior Raptors gymnast Leah Robinette dominated in the all-around, where she earned a score of 36.15. Her scores of 9.25 in the uneven bars event and 9.4 in the floor routine led the way for the Raptors in those disciplines.

Eighth-grader Megan Trollen led the team in vault with a 9.3. Jamita Joiner, a junior, topped all Raptors in the beam event with a score of 8.8.

Robinette also won the all-around title in the Cretin meet with a combined score of 36.625. She was the top Raptors gymnast in the vault (9.475), the uneven bars (8.825) and on beam (9.375). Sophomore Keliana Thompson earned the highest Raptors score in the floor exercise with 9.125.

Raptors sophomore Kelly McKenzie finished second on the team in all-around with a score of 33.875.

The Raptors return to the mats Thursday for a rivalry match-up with Woodbury.
