East Ridge girls lacrosse: High section seeding for Raptors
Woodbury Minnesota 8420 City Centre Drive 55125

The Raptors open section play this week as the top seed in the tournament.

East Ridge plays No. 8-seed North on Thursday, May 29, at home. A win over North would put the Raptors in the quarterfinals, where they would play either No. 4-seeded Mahtomedi or No. 5 Tartan.

The section championship game will be June 3 at Mounds View.

The Raptors finished the regular season with a rare 8-7 loss to Farmington. Shelby Klotz and Rachael Welzin had three goals apiece in the game, while Becky Genzler and Ashley Steffes each chipped in a goal. Goalie Maddie Kohlbeck stopped 18 of 25 Farmington shots on goal.

East Ridge finished the regular season with an 11-2 record.
