East Ridge girls hockey: Raptors’ mid-season funk continues with 4-1 loss to Hastings
East Ridge’s mid-season funk continued Dec. 21 with a 4-1 loss to Suburban East Conference foe Hastings at Bielenberg Arena in Woodbury.
The Raptors (7-6, 4-5 SEC) dropped their fourth consecutive game and have lost six of their past eight games after starting the season 5-0.
The Raiders (6-7-1, 4-4-1 SEC) got a pair of goals from Kiki Radke to bookend the scoring in the first period. Nicole Kilmek and Sami Claussen added goals for Hastings as it scored all four goals in the first period.
Radke’s first goal came at 6 minutes, 54 seconds into the game and East Ridge tied it less than five minutes later on a goal from Abby Roeser off an assist from Jaedyn Walz.
The Raptors outshot the Raiders 17-16.
East Ridge took part in the Schwan Cup at the National Sports Center in Blaine after the Bulletin went to print.
Next, the Raptors take on rival Park (2-10-2; 1-6-2 SEC) on Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Cottage Grove Ice Arena.
