Despite scoring 40 or less points in two straight games, the East Ridge girls basketball team was able to split two games last week.
On Tuesday, the Raptors (8-9, 3-8 in Suburban East Conference) played a defensive battle against Stillwater and came away with a 40-33 victory.
Junior forward Jamie Swanson scored almost half of her team's points, finishing with 19 points. Senior guard Hannah Pignato added 11.
Senior forward Paige Becker was the only player from Stillwater to hit double digits. She finished with 11 points.
Friday, however, didn't go as well. East Ridge hosted Park and lost 63-36.
Senior guard Larissa Lurken had a spectacular game, leading Park with 26 points. Junior guard Sydney Lamberty added 15.
Only Swanson led the way with 14 points. No other Raptor was able to score more than seven points.
East Ridge finds itself near the bottom of the Suburban East Conference sitting in eight place behind Roseville (18-1, 11-0 SEC), Park, Woodbury (10-7, 7-4 SEC), White Bear Lake (8-11, 7-4 SEC), Forest Lake (14-4, 7-4 SEC), Mounds View (10-9, 6-5 SEC) and Cretin-Derham Hall (8-10, 5-6 SEC).
Monday of this week, the Raptors went to play White Bear Lake and on Thursday, they will host Woodbury.
East Ridge has played both teams earlier this season and lost both times.
