East Ridge boys basketball: Raptors fall to Mounds View, top Forest Lake
East Ridge's week got a little longer with a pair of overtime games where the Raptors had a chance to move up the conference standings.
East Ridge picked up a 77-69 overtime victory over Forest Lake Tuesday and lost 72-70 in overtime against Mounds View Saturday in Mounds View.
The Raptors (17-5, 10-4 SEC) earned their third consecutive victory with a win over the Rangers (8-14, 4-10 SEC) and had a chance to move into a tie for second place in the conference Saturday against the Mustangs.
East Ridge fell behind 32-31 in the first half against Forest Lake and rallied in the second half to force overtime. The Raptors went on to outscore the Rangers 18-10 in overtime to get the win.
Sid Tomes scored a team-high 23 points. Jake Knupp and Brian Ishola scored 15 points in the loss while
A win over Mounds View would have slotted East Ridge into a tie with 10th-ranked Roseville for second place in the conference, but the Mustangs pulled out an overtime win.
Knupp led the Raptors with 26 points in the loss. Tomes added 18 points. Mounds View jumped out to a 28-23 lead at halftime and East Ridge came back in the second half to tie the game at the end of regulation.
