District 833 School Board to meet April 23 at 6 p.m.
During the "Around the District" portion of the District 833 school board agenda on Thursday, April 23, presentations will include the East Ridge High School Song and a KIWI program update (a summer program that supports student wellness).
The consent agenda includes employee resignations, terminations, leaves and new hires; financial transactions; acceptance of gifts; extended field trips; School Board meeting minutes; bid awards for ERHS fitness and weight room equipment, specialty classroom furnishings, and musical instruments; bid rejection for mechanical equipment at Hillside; encumbrance authority for 2009-10; change orders for East Ridge, Park and Woodbury High Schools; grand applications, bid award for classroom audio/visual upgrades; lease agreement between Merit Chevrolet and District 833 for Driver Education cars; student agreement between UW-Lacrosse and District 833; and agreement for Project Lead the Way Program.
The board will take action on revisions to Policy 510.1 - Athletic and Activity Participation; the 2009-10 Debt Service Budget and the 2009-10 Trust Fund Budget; a resolution to release probationary teaching contracts.
Newport Elementary Principal Mike Moore will present an informational update on the Dental Program at the school.
Future meeting dates of the board are: Thursday, May 7 (6 p.m. Workshop) and Thursday, May 21 (Workshop at 6 p.m. and Regular Meeting at 7 p.m.)
