District 833 finance official turns in resignation
Another School District 833 official is moving on.
Finance Director Aaron Bushberger is leaving South Washington County Schools for a similar job in the South St. Paul School District.
Bushberger’s resignation is effective June 30. Bushberger has worked as finance director for six years and as a finance manager for three years before that. He cited personal reasons and a change of pace as reasons for leaving, according to the district.
District 833 has about 17,600 students. There are about 3,200 students in the South St. Paul district.
As finance director, Bushberger prepares and presents budget information to school and community groups and has had a big hand in district planning for budget cuts in past years and in the district referendum votes, including last fall’s ballot measures.
Bushberger serves on the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce’s executive committee and was the Chamber’s 2011 Business Person of the Year.
Bushberger’s resignation is among personnel changes expected to be approved by the School Board April 24. He is the third high-level administrator to leave, following the recently approved resignations of assistant superintendents Keith Ryskoski and Dave Bernhardson, also effective June 30.
