Dinner at Axel's benefits Miracle Field

The Rotary Club of Woodbury will hold "The Miracle Gala" Friday, April 30 at Axel's at Prestwick, 9555 Wedgewood Drive, Woodbury.

The event features dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions and music by Phil Thompson and Friends to benefit the East Metro Jeff Hanson Miracle Field. The cost is $55 per person. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Attendees arriving by 6:45 p.m. will receive a complimentary glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres.

The club is working to complete fundraising for the field, which is to be built at the Bielenberg Sports Complex in Woodbury. The field will allow as many as 2,000 children with various disabilities in the Twin Cities East Metro, to play baseball.

The project is a joint venture of the City of Woodbury, the Rotary Club of Woodbury, the Minnesota Utility Contractors Association (MUCA) and the Miracle League of Minnesota.
