County board approves contract for next phase of campus expansion
The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday, Feb. 24 to approve professional service contracts for phase five of the campus 2025 project at the county government center in Stillwater.
Wold Architects and Engineers will continue to provide design services and Kraus-Anderson Midwest Construction Company will continue as construction site managers.
The current phases of the campus expansion have been under budget and on schedule, said county public works director Don Theisen.
The fifth phase of the campus expansion will focus on the south wing of the government center beginning in mid-2009 with completion scheduled for December 2011.
Remodeling the south wing will include moving higher use customer services to the first floor. This phase is funded through a capital improvement bond issued in 2007.
