Coming to Woodbury's Central Park
The city of Woodbury parks and recreation department's "Performances in the Park" family program series at Woodbury's Central Park amphitheater, 8595 Central Park Place, will feature the University of Minnesota Raptor Center presenting "Birds of Prey" Thursday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m., and a performance by Harmonic Relief on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. All performances are free and no registration is needed.
The Raptor Center will present an educational program with live birds of prey. The Oct. 16 program is designed to provide factual understanding of birds of prey and their role in the environment, "while firing the imagination and instilling respect for the wildness of nature."
Harmonic Relief, a show choir with 20 "enthusiastic" members and a "drive for musical excellence" will perform Oct. 19. Their repertoire includes pop, swing, Broadway and vocal jazz music.
