TITLE: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURY, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, PROVIDING THAT THE CITY CODE BE AMENDED BY AMENDING CHAPTER 11, LICENSES, PERMITS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS ARTICLE II CIGARETTES
SUMMARY OF WOODBURY ORDINANCE NO. 1880
Chapter 11, Licenses, Permits and Miscellaneous Business Regulations, Article II Cigarettes to the City Code has been amended to regulate the sale, possession and use of tobacco, tobacco products, tobacco related devices, and nicotine or lobelia delivery devices for the purpose of enforcing and furthering existing laws to protect minors against the serious effects associated with the illegal use of tobacco, tobacco products, tobacco related devices, and nicotine or lobelia delivery devices, and to further the official public policy of the state in regard to preventing young people from starting to smoke as stated in Minnesota Statutes Section 144.391 public policy. Article II provides for definitions and interpretations of tobacco sales, licensing and regulations, eligibility for license, basis for denial of license, prohibited sales, self-service sales, compliance checks and inspections, other illegal acts, violations and appeals.
