ORDINANCE NO. 1877
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURY, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA PROVIDING THAT THE CITY CODE BE AMENDED BY AMENDING CHAPTER 16 PARKS AND RECREATION, ARTICLE III PARK RULES, SECTION 16-61 PARADES, ENTERTAINMENT AND PUBLIC MEETINGS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOODBURY, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION ONE. Amendment:That Chapter 16 Parks and Recreation, Article III Park Rules, Section 16-61 Parades, Entertainment and Public Meetings be amended to delete the same in its entirety and substitute the following therefore
Sec. 16-61. Parades, entertainment and public meetings.
No processions, parades, pageants, ceremonies, exhibitions, celebrations, training exercises, speeches, entertainment or other public gatherings shall be allowed to pass through or take place in any public street, site or open space except by permit issued by the public safety department. Public speaking that does not block or impede either the flow of pedestrian or vehicular traffic, or that does not take place in or upon the traveled portion of any city street or public parking lot, or that does not interfere with use by a permitted user, is not subject to the regulation of this ordinance.
SECTION TWO. Effective date.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect following its passage and publication according to law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota, this 26th day of March, 2014.
