Century Avenue closure delayed to Nov. 4
The anticipated Oct. 27 closure of Century Avenue has been delayed and rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4, according to Ramsey County officials working on the road improvement project.
The closure, which is expected to last three weeks, is necessary to facilitate the removal of poor soils under the roadway near and across Century Avenue just south of Pouliot Parkway. The new detour will be Valley Creek Road to I-494 to Lake Road.
Ramsey and Washington counties began construction on the road in August as a part
a $14 million joint-project that will widen Century Road to four lanes and install new traffic signals at Century Avenue/Lake Road and Century Avenue/Valley Creek Road intersections.
The construction project is expected to be completed in its entirety by fall 2010.
Ramsey County is the lead agency for construction.
