'Camp Invention' makes science fun

Young and aspiring rocket scientists were given the chance to experiment at Camp Invention last month.

The five-day camp, held at Liberty Ridge Elementary School in Stonemill Farms, was organized for the district's gifted and talented first- through sixth-graders.

Students had fun building rockets, creating fantasy inventions, forming water balloon launchers and playing games to understand difficulties of communicating between space and earth when astronauts are faced with a 20-minute delay.
