Bulletin recaps top stories for 2010
Woodbury Minnesota 8420 City Centre Drive 55125

The year 2010 featured many interesting developments, expected and unanticipated in Woodbury, Afton and their neighboring communities.

From an election season that excited voters, and at times, overwhelmed them with promise of change, to the graceful exit of Woodbury's longtime top-elected official.

In education, expansion of a Spanish Immersion school was a hot-button topic throughout the year. On the commercial front, movement on a new Super Target, a change in ownership at Woodbury Lakes and the closing of a historic frozen confectionery were issues that perked the collective ears of the community.

And of course, there were some stories that kept people talking well after they were published, in part because of the nature of the topic s ( i.e. police shooting, mother delivering her own child) in a community that has a reputation for being a safe and healthy place to live.

As we prepare for a new year, the Woodbury Bulletin has produced a recap of the top stories in 2010, as determined by news staff.

The Bulletin's top stories of 2010 and a rundown of the most-read web stories at www.woodburybulletin.com are included in the Wednesday, Dec. 29 print edition of the Woodbury Bulletin available on news stands now.
