Bachmann to host town hall-style health care forum

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, R-Stillwater will hold a town hall-style forum on health care for her Sixth District constituents Thursday, Aug. 27 at Oak-Land Junior High in Lake Elmo.

Joining Bachmann as a special guest at the forum will be Congressman Michael Burgess M.D, R-Texas.

Burgess practiced medicine before being elected to Congress in 2003. Burgess has a background as an obstetrician. He was born in Rochester, Minn.

Burgess serves on a U.S. House committee with jurisdiction over the health care reform legislation, and Bachmann said she invited her colleague to discuss with constituents the current proposals that are making their way through Congress.

The forum is scheduled to run from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. Doors open at 1:45 pm

Oak-Land Junior High School is located at 820 Manning Ave. N. in Lake Elmo.
