'Axel and His Dog' opens Lakeshore season
Lakeshore Players Theatre opens its 56th season Friday, Sept. 5 with "Axel and His Dog."
The play provides a humorous look at the early days of Twin Cities television and a testament to friendship.
Members of the audience are invited to attend a post-show reception on opening night.
The play is written by original castmember Don Stolz. It includes poignant real-life stories of the "Axel" childrens show's TV cast, along with the show's signature comedy.
Directed by Steven P. Peterson, this family-friendly play stars Jacob Hugart as Axel.
"Axel and His Dog" runs through Sept. 28 with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $18 to $20.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, "pay-what-you-can" general admission rush tickets are available one hour prior to show time. Also on Sept. 7, ASL-interpreters will sign the performance for the deaf and hard of hearing.
