The city of Woodbury Parks and Recreation department is accepting registration for programming available for children during the Education Minnesota Professional Conference Thursday and Friday, Oct. 16 - 17.

• Skateboard Camp, activity #55125-09, will be held at Ojibway Skate Park, 2695 Ojibway Drive, Woodbury, Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon for children ages 5 - 14. The cost is $44.

Beginners to experts will receive instruction in balance, pushing, dropping in, skate park safety and etiquette from experienced teachers. Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards are required.

• School's Out With Science Explorers: Emergency Room, activity #55127-26, for children ages seven - 11, will be held Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Oak Room at Woodbury's Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place. The cost is $19.

"Student doctors" will learn about the human body and first aid through several hands-on activities, participate in mock emergency situations, create a basic first aid kit, sculpt a heart and more.

• Mountain Bike Day Trip, activity #55121-16, for children ages 8 - 14, will be held Thursday, Oct. 16. Space is limited to13 participants. The cost is $25. The bus will leave Ojibway Park parking lot at 9 a.m. and return at 2 p.m.

The guided ride will provide participants an opportunity to explore new trails and gain valuable knowledge about bicycle maintenance, safety, riding skills and trail etiquette. Riders should bring a snack lunch and plenty of water.

• Kid Smart: martial arts, activity #55125-11, for children ages five to 12, will be held Friday, Oct. 17 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Valley Creek Room at Woodbury's Central Park. The cost is $35.

Master Malone, with over 15 years experience in martial arts, will teach participants how to get out of holds, what to say, how to take action, be confident and take control.
