833's Bernhardson a finalist for Inver Grove superintendent job
Outgoing District 833 Assistant Superintendent Dave Bernhardson is being interviewed for the top job with Inver Grove Heights Community Schools.
Bernhardson, who already announced he is leaving South Washington County Schools in June, is among six first-round finalists for the superintendent job in nearby Inver Grove Heights.
The group includes: Bernhardson; John Bezek, assistant superintendent in Shakopee Public Schools and a former assistant principal at Park High School in Cottage Grove; T. Jeffrey McGonigal, an associate superintendent in the Anoka-Hennepin Public Schools; Gregory Winter, superintendent in Braham Area Schools; Teri Anne Staloch, assistant superintendent in the Osseo Area School District; and Jim Lentz, Pipestone Area Schools superintendent.
The candidates are being interviewed April 22-24, according to the Inver Grove Heights School Board. Interviews with second-round finalists will begin April 30 or May 1.
Bernhardson oversees elementary schools and other programs in District 833. He announced in March he is resigning effective June 30. District 833’s other assistant superintendent, Keith Ryskoski, has also submitted his resignation.
