Head coach Robb Rupp and the New Life Academy boys soccer team returns the bulk of its talent to the pitch this season.

Coming off a 10-7-2 season, the Eagles bring back four of their top five scorers from a year ago in Daniel Sleper, Dan Otto, Raleigh Becker and Joey Hunt, along with starting keeper Tyler Palesh, who will all be seniors this year. Sleper and Eric Lee will be the team captains this fall.

Rupp, entering his 10th season with the Eagles, had to say goodbye to its top scorer in 2011 graduate James Housworth last spring, but welcomes promising newcomers Dylan Larson and Chris Kesting to the squad this season.

New Life has begun the season 0-2-1 with losses to St. Paul Como Park and St. Paul Johnson and a draw with St. Paul Humboldt.

Key remaining games include: against Trinity at home on Tuesday, Sept. 13 and at St. Croix Lutheran on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
