Thomas Crist of Woodbury has made repeated trips to Ukraine to provide dental care for the needy. Last month, Crist was a recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award. The Cottage Grove Random Runners team won the Female Division of the Eau Claire Marathon Relay on May 6 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  Teammates Jennifer Lucas, Emily Firchaur, Solvei Baylis and Bridgitt Looney (pictured) posted a combined time of 3:15:27. Brigadier Gen. Gregory Gutterman spoke to members of the Air Force Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) at Park High School on April 27. Gutterman, a 1984 Park graduate, spoke about careers in the Air Force and the importance of commitment, character and doing your personal best. Carter Bannwarth, 15, of Woodbury will perform at Carnegie Hall April 30 as a member of the Camp Broadway Kids Ensemble. The East Ridge High School freshman will join 60 other kids from across the country who successfully auditioned for the performing arts day camp, which takes place over three days in New York City.
