Woodbury Plastic Surgery has joined Fairview Physician Associates (FPA), a network of more than 3,400 primary and specialty providers in the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area.
Woodbury Plastic Surgery is owned by David Thao, MD, who is among the first Hmong plastic surgeons in the world.
"Addressing the cultural discrepancies between the Hmong population and western medicine was a huge factor in my decision to become a physician," said Thao, who is board certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery. "Plastic surgery enables me to provide immediate results to my patients from head to toe. Working with FPA Network will give me the opportunity to reach out to even more patients."
As part of FPA Network, Woodbury Surgery remains an independent practice.
"We are pleased to add Woodbury Plastic Surgery to the independent, Fairview-owned and University of Minnesota Physicians primary and specialty practices that make up our provider network," said Kevin Nelson, MD, FPA Network president. "We work to improve the quality of care, patient and provider experience, at the best possible value for patients in our network."
Woodbury Plastic Surgery offers reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, including surgical facial rejuvenation procedures such as facelifts and eyelid surgery, plus non-surgical anti-aging injections, fillers, laser treatments and chemical peels.
Thao also specializes in breast augmentation or breast reduction, abdominoplasty, liposuction and body contouring procedures following extreme weight loss.
