Free hearing screenings

Sight & Hearing Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing vision and hearing loss in Minnesotans, is offering free hearing screenings statewide on April 29 for "International Noise Awareness Day."

The goal is to educate the public about the dangers of noise to hearing and health and to encourage the public to think about their hearing.

Since hearing tests are not part of an annual doctor's physical, this is an opportunity to get hearing checked by an audiologist with no office co-pay.

Screenings will be held at Allina Medical Clinic in Woodbury from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and 5 to 6:30 p.m. Call (651) 241-3312 to make an appointment.

For more information, call the Sight & Hearing Association at (651) 645-2546 or 800/992-0424, or visit
